In order to ensure the forming quality of the pipe bending machine, the degree of deformation must be controlled within the allowable range. The bending forming limit of the pipe depends not only on the mechanical properties of the material and the bending method, but also considers the use requirements of the pipe.
The forming limit of pipe fittings should include the following:
1 In the compressive deformation zone inside the neutral layer, the thin-walled structure part subjected to tangential compressive stress will not wrinkle beyond instability;
2 If the pipe fittings have requirements for ovality, control the distortion of their cross-sections;
3 If the pipe fittings have the strength requirements to withstand the internal pressure, the forming limit of the wall thickness reduction shall be controlled.
4. The maximum elongation deformation in the tensile deformation zone outside the neutral layer does not exceed the allowable plasticity value of the material to cause rupture;
